I'm shouting GORGEOUS to anyone who's listening. Jenny Packham's fall 2012 collection is simply just that...gorgeous. Packham sent 1940s styled femme fatales strutting down the runway sporting victory roll bangs, glossy Bordeaux lips, and oh yes...glamorous gowns.
Film noir, a genre of Hollywood films of the 1940s was the inspiration behind this collection and it did not disappoint. Form fitting, figure hugging gowns with strong shoulders and embellished necklines in fabrics that draped the body like liquid metal were shown along side jumpsuits and cocktail dresses that were equally impressive. A color palette of blush pink, brick red, icy blue, black, "Bacall" nude, and metallics complimented the draping and fabrication of each garment.
