I love the obvious vintage inspiration in Chris Benz's fall 2012 collection. Petticoats, opera length gloves (better yet gloves period)...tea length dresses, lame fabric, fur trimmed tops, cropped jackets, pillbox hats...and wigs. 1950s holiday dressing for the new millennium lady is what Benz presented this week, and with Christmas being my favorite holiday and only a couple of months ago, how could I not enjoy this collection. "I remember sitting in my mom's bathroom, watching her get all dolled up while listening to The Judy Garland Holiday Special," said Benz. "And now girls are making the effort to be glam like that again."
